Bar Facility, Meals and Beverages

The Bar Facility :

The Manor provides a full bar facility at reasonable rates. As we are fully licensed the liquor act prohibits any form of alcoholic beverage being brought onto the premises.  This will be strictly enforced and should any alcoholic beverage/s be brought onto the premises it will be retained until departure.   We do not permit corkage at all. Two ( 2 ) barmen are provided in you venue hire fee but should you require extra barmen, a rate of R150 per hour will be levied until 12 ( midnight ). Guests are not allowed behind the bar area under any circumstances whatsoever.   

Should you wish alcoholic beverages to be served before the actual reception this will be an added extra and will not be part of the normal bar account set up unless otherwise arranged with Management. 

Bar Closure :

The bar must close strictly at 12 (midnight) and no alcohol will be served after this time. The function must end at 1am.

Catering:

We want your wedding day, and that includes the food, to reflect your own personal style. Suggested menu’s are available by e-mail (on request) but are subject to changes. We are happy to discuss your particular requests and will quote you accordingly.        

You need to decide first whether or not you want a fully plated menu, a buffet menu or a mix of the two. Generally starters are served and main courses and desserts are self served. But the choice is yours. May we suggest that you consider including a meat dish, a chicken dish, a fish dish, and a curry dish or casserole dish as these cater for most tastes. Don’t forget about your guests who are vegetarians or who have other special requirements and the DJ and Photographer. We can also do platters, snacks and smorgasbords the choice is yours.        

Generally food costs for a 3 or 4 course meal will range from R240 – R465 per head depending on the choices made.        

Meals & Beverages:

Breakfast is served daily between 7am – 9am.    
Light lunches and dinners are by arrangement only. 

Beverages are not included in accommodation rates or the rates nor are they and will be charged as an added extra. 

All special dietary requirements and / or special beverage needs must be notified to Management prior to arrival at ‘The Manor ‘.
